Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs: the reviews are in!

This year’s pantomime has now been running for a week, and we think it’s the best one ever – but don’t just take our word for it, look at these reviews:

We were given five stars by The Stage, who said the production was “Excellent in every way”, and “Everything about this show glitters with quality.” Susan Elkin, who wrote this review also said, “In twenty years of reviewing pantomime, I have never seen a better one than this.”

The Reviews Hub also gave us five stars, with their reviewer writing, “This is a pantomime that has it all…an innovating production that cannot be faulted and is another festive triumph for the Marlowe Theatre.”

And it doesn’t end there. Becky Ives from the Heart FM breakfast show said, “Amazing performances, brilliant songs & so much laughter!” Her colleague James Herring said, “Roddy, Gallagher & Hollett nail it again at the Marlowe,” and “Absolutely spectacular. Fast moving, lavish and in some parts, 4D!”

The aforementioned trio are of course Ben Roddy, Phil Gallagher and Lloyd Hollett, playing Nurse Nellie, Muddles and Herman the Henchman respectively. Their performances were widely praised, as was that of our star this year, Rita Simons (who’s playing the wicked Queen Ivannah).

If you’re not already impressed, here’s a few other things the reviewers said:

“If you want to see a proper pantomime, with a little bit of extra pizzazz on top, this is the one for you.” Rebecca Pike (Canterbury Times)

“Everything about this show glitters with quality.” Susan Elkin (The Stage)

“Treat yourself to it – you will not be disappointed.” Christ Britcher (Kent News)

“Stunning special effects” John Nurden (KM Kent Online)

  1. Please could you tell me the name of the song sung by the gnome who had to use the chair to kiss snow white.
What a beautiful song and an outstanding performance by all.
